Privacy Policy
Navigate Cyprus is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: 15 July 2026
1. Who we are
Navigate Cyprus ("we", "us", "our") operates navigatecyprus.com and provides independent guidance to people planning to move to Cyprus. For any privacy question you can contact us at info@navigatecyprus.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with the site, we may collect:
- Name and email address (calculator, contact form, report requests).
- Country of residence and city you plan to move to.
- Household size, preferred lifestyle, budget indication and moving timeline you enter into the cost of living calculator.
- Answers to calculator questions and the resulting estimate.
- Phone number, if you choose to provide it.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, only where technically required or with your analytics consent.
3. Why we collect it
- To generate and email your personalised cost of living report.
- To respond to enquiries and requests you send us.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- With your explicit consent, to introduce you to trusted relocation partners who can help with your move.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR Article 6)
- Consent, for analytics cookies, marketing communications and sharing your details with relocation partners.
- Performance of a request, when we generate and send the report you asked for.
- Legitimate interests, to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and improve our content.
- Legal obligation, where we must retain records to comply with applicable law.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate visitor behaviour. Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies via our banner. IP addresses are anonymised. Google acts as our data processor. You can withdraw consent at any time through the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, analytics cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
7. Data retention
We keep calculator submissions and contact enquiries for up to 24 months from your last interaction, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
8. Third-party service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted processors to run the service:
- Hosting, secure, GDPR-aligned cloud infrastructure within the EU/EEA where possible.
- Database, encrypted managed database used to store your submissions.
- Email delivery, a transactional email provider used to send your calculator report.
- Google Analytics, loaded only with your consent.
All processors are bound by contractual data-protection obligations. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
9. Sharing with relocation partners
We never sell your personal data. If, and only if, you explicitly opt in on the calculator or contact form, we may share your details with a small circle of trusted relocation partners (for example immigration consultants, lawyers, accountants or real estate professionals) solely to assist with your relocation to Cyprus. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing info@navigatecyprus.com.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS for all traffic, encryption at rest for our database, restricted access to production systems and regular reviews of our providers. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce risk.
11. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict how we process your data.
- Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw any consent you previously gave.
- Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority, in Cyprus, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@navigatecyprus.com. We respond within 30 days.
12. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
