This page explains what cookies are, which cookies Navigate Cyprus uses, and how you can change or withdraw your consent at any time.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so it can remember information about your visit, for example, that you accepted a cookie banner or which language you prefer. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels; where we use them, we treat them the same way as cookies for consent purposes.
2. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function. They do not require consent because the site cannot work without them. We use them to:
- Remember your cookie consent choice so we do not ask you again on every page.
- Keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- Deliver pages reliably (load balancing and basic performance).
3. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use Navigate Cyprus in aggregate, for example, which guides are most read. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use analytics data to identify individuals.
If you reject analytics cookies, no Google Analytics script is loaded on your device.
4. Cookie duration
- Consent record, stored on your device for up to 12 months, then we ask again.
- Google Analytics, Google sets cookies that typically expire after up to 24 months.
- Session cookies, deleted when you close your browser.
5. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your choice at any time. Open the preferences panel using the button below or the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect how this and other sites work.
